[MAINTENANCE REQUIRED] - indicator

in my em1 dash between the tacho and speedo there is a little indicator [maintenance required].
i believe when it is "green" it is fine (reset by the mechanic after a service) and a "red" indicates the latter (requires service).
how is this indicator triggered? should i get my car checked up if it is "red"? anyone else notice this in their car?

yeah man. its weird eh?
my friend did an oil change in mine and i pushed the button thingy. coz it was red. but i think i should do a proper full service. and push it agen. hahah :D

its nothing
its just triggered by the k's on the odometer
it will turn from green to yellow to red
everytime u service the car just use ur key to push it and it goes back to green
its not some sophisticated shit like those on german cars
