Hello ppl.

I have bought some Del Sol Blackhousing auxilary lights. Here are the photos:

I have tried to put an H4 bulb but it's hard to make it fit there. I can read it is 12V 27W 3497 bulb... Can someone tell me if I can use this for High beam H4? Are there 2 version of this headlight, for Fog light and Highbeam light?

Thanks alot!

lol.. it's none of them.

the bulb is one of these bayonet ones:

it's coz in america/japan the circle lights are fog lights and the high beams are wired into the headlight housing fully utilising the H4 bulb.

You have to do some re-wiring with some relays... unless you wanna cut up that housing to force the H3/H7's in... plus you have to open it up and unscrew that black cover for the light.

the pics work yes :)

Do you think if i just make the H4 bulb fit there it works good as high beam? Don't you know where to buy those lights to be High beams somewhere?

Thanks :D

Looks like a parker style fitting.

Might require one of those housings that fits wedge bulbs, the ones that you twist in and out.

(Of course the one that fits this housing)

Ill prob try to adapt it to H4 and try to put 35W Xenon inside of it :). What you think?

can't adapt it to H4 because of the way H4s are mounted unless you somehow stick it on.

even then you still have to open the housing to unscrew that black cover that sits in front of the globe.

No you can't get them anywhere in H4 style unless it is made in Australia as the aftermarket ones are all made in the states where they have foglights.

you can do what i did and put the normal bayonet in there and wire that up as your parker and rewire your highbeams into the normal housing and connector.

However you need to use relays to switch off the low beam in the H4 while the highs are on.

I've got my drawing of the circuit and relays if you want me to scan them and post up.

i'll take pics on the weekend of what the parker->low->high looks like in that configuration.

the high beams throw and flood a lot clearer and better in the normal housing.. dunno why honda bothered with the pissy circle one for the audm market. also probably explains why the 96-97 model usdm/jdm models don't have the circle lights

Yeah, it is nice, but im used to see them as Highbeams :)

I have already adapted them so the H4 bulb will fit there :) Now i jsut must install them on the car and check if i have good lighting :P

^^don't forget to remove the black cover directly in front of the light globe inside. this will hinder any 'high beam' effect

Hey.

Thanks for the info dsp26, but how can i remove the black cover? It is screwed and i can't access to it as it is inside...

the clear plastic front clips onto the off white backing... you just gotta push em out CAREFULLY where they clip in... the plastics pretty hard and you may snap it.

even if you did snap some of them of it'd be a good time to put sealant around where they join as that thing isn't exactly waterproof.
