so i take it's safe not to have one eh?

i saw a third brake light at repco but the wiring doesnt have a plug at the end only the positive and negative.. thinking of getting those but not sure how to fit them..

pretty simple really....red wire goes to brake light power, black goes to ground...

you can just strip a bit of plastic off the wire going to the OEM brake light, and twist the wire from the repco brake light around it...you dont really need to solder it. alternatively you can buy little clamp things from repco that splice the wire.

you might need to buy speaker wire to make it long enough to wire up to your brake light.

for some reason on my EG spoon replica wing, the third brake light comes on half a second before the OEM taillights

the third brake light comes with a long wire.. long enough to reach the plug.. i'll try that first and see how it goes.

I know this might be a new concept, but how about extending the wires?

Either solder, or use those little clamp things. Wrapping the wire around and then hoping that the electrical tape keeps it in place won't work. I've tried it and the vibrations from driving on the road just makes the wire lose contact.

wat i did 4 a while was use the brake light from the stock wing. jsut unscrew it and double sided tape it to the ceiling of ur car. even with coilovers it didnt come off. and coz its from the stock wing it plugs straight in

or as an alternative you can use electrical terminals? and then wrap them up with electrical tape again.

if you are really really fussy, try get an ek9 wing from the UK, most come with brake light in the ek9 wing from factory over there to comply with the law

here you go, i used a LED light wired to my old rear light, as the CTR wing does not have a place for a rear light
