Hi,
Embarassing but I hit them stupid road works posts, slammed into them, totally didn't see them they are so low. Anyway long story short, im up for some damage. The only damage I can see is the front needs to be replaced, eg the body kit looking bumper bit, its a bit scratched, and on the passenger side the panel there has been pushed up and all dented. Oh and the left hand light is bit damaged. I'm presuming all I need to do is buy these 2 panels and new light casing, then pay for heavy labour costs to fix it all up and reapply that lifetime scratch protection stuff. Just wondering, should I take it into a Honda place, or am I able to buy these 2 panels myself somewhere cheap, eg order direct or something, then just pay the labour costs.
On a funny side, I was thinking of walking in, and saying I paid for the lifetime scratch resistant, keep a straight face and say, if this is scratch resistant, what happened? :o

Ouch - do you mean the bright orange things that look like witches hats?
Do you have comprehensive insurance? Then you'll need to figure out how much it would cost to get fixed urself verses paying the insurance excess + increase in premium from next year on (unless you have max no claim bonus protection).

yeah u should feel happy for him cause hes getting a new bumper LOL
Come on guys, let's be a bit more constructive...
Maybe you should first get see some panel beaters and get them to assess the damage and give you a quote, that would be your best option atm.
Sometimes if it's not serious, just a simple respray would suffice. Otherwise you're looking at new panels and paint.
You could get a quote from the Honda dealers for new panels, but I reckon they will be overpriced. Panel beaters can source the parts cheaper anyway.

Your an idiot for calling me an idiot mate. Yes i tested my top speed but you have no idea where I tried it or anything, so why dont you keep your puny lil mouth shut before you start judging someone else. I didn't do that to be cool, I wanted to fully test the car, im not an idiot on the road, oh wait..you get your jollies posting shit like that on a public forum, I guess you know everything. Maybe try post constructive criticism before posting useless info or get a life, either way do something better than what your doing now.
To everyone else, I tested it on a flat strip around farms etc, there was not a house for miles, not shops, nor phone coverage, nor traffic or would not have done. So maybe ask before judging too quick.

Your an idiot for calling me an idiot mate.
does that make you an idiot as well? cause you've now called him an idiot?
As if you'd brag about your top speed lol not a good idea. definately not smart.
And to prove you're a bad driver you hit "high visibility" road work gear. lol
what a laugh.

thats smart. lets test the cars top speed in the middle of nowhere and be retarded enough to SOMEHOW damage the car.
not that i really care, but imagine if a cow or some shit came out into the road, and you hit it and damaged the shit out of yourself.
what would u do even if u could slightly move?
yell out to a near-by house? no
yell out to a near by petrol station or shop? no
grab your phone and try and call for help? no
wait for a passer by to come to your aid? no
why would u even post it up on here? anyone with half a brain will know to pick up their phone the next day, look up at who their insurance is, call the number, state their policy number, and have the rest taken care of by insurance.
why would you even care for testing the cars limits at those speeds? i bet my car would disintegrate at 700km/hs an hour, but you dont see me trying it.
yours didnt disintegrate at a speed 4 time less than that, but you did screw up, so quit trying to justify what you did as something which is completely okay and makes perfect sense.
