1) spoon airfilter + modified stock airbox = 200++ (good upgrade from stock for price.. don't expect too much..)
2) Mugen = $900 (the best performing in my opinion.. but way too expensive.............)
3) J's racing, good for track i suppose.. but might suffer from massive heat lag in heavy traffic.. might work better with some sort of air diversion duct or hose.. = $400
4)Gruppe M, good for all other models.. euro, dc5r... but not really the best for the Dc2r.. especially with the price.... = $800+
5) Injen/fujta/Aem cold air intake.. good but shit in rainy weather when u suck in water.. might be an issue with cops too if they pop ur bonnet..or see it sticking behind ur wheel...=$400
6) pod filter... any brand... waste of time and $$ unless u do some heat shield or cold air feed.. (sounds really good though...) =$50-$100
Hope it helps :)

Injen CAI water issues are a myth, unless your car doubles as a boat... or you are driving through rivers/creaks

Amen,
Im sick of people Q_Qing about how its apparently going to suck up water.
I drove my car in the heaviest rain ive been in for a while and I was driving for a good hour and when I checked the pod it wasnt wet at all.
The piping to it and the pod were cold themselfs tho.

stay stock, remove resonator. the money can be spend better elsewhere. how much will u gain with a aftermarket cai over oem one?

water sucked into the engine won't stay on the pod would it ?

DIY it mate. go to a local hardware store, grab some 90mm piping, couple of bends. locate it wherever u want down in the guard behind the front bumper and connect the pod filter up the end. no worries. cost like $20 if you've got some basic handyman skills

J's racing "whale penis" cF intake or passwordjdm(replica of j's racing) gets my vote.
apparently passwordjdm's has a dyno sheet to prove gains.
some are against short ram intake, saying about them sucking in hot air from theengine bay especially if u have aftermarket header and header heat shield removed, but u cant beat the response and the sound SRI makes.
Just my 5c worth ;)

MUGEN for sure. Best intake for a B-series.

Your car isnt going to make enough vacuum to actually suck water from the ground to the pod, even in heavy rain.
Unless your car is low as hell you'll be fine from what ive experienced.
I have the mugen intake on mine, love it =)

I have Spoon + modified box, basically copied the idea of Mugen. Very happy with it.

Very good stuff! I had this first up, with a air con pipe ducted to front bar... very good intake.

Yeah... but if the car is just for the street, and you aren't trying to squeeze every last bit of power out of the engine, then you don't really need Mugen.

christ, if u guys are so worried about water sucking into ur CAI, get the injen hydroshield for ur pod. got one myself for my injen intake and works a treat. does not affect flow at all and u dont have to clean ur pod as often

Had Injen CAI then Mugen... different feel of power...
CAI - lack of low end but nice when VTEC kicks in... not really good in wet though...
Mugen - responsive throughout the REV range... highly recommended in all weather types
save the $$$ and get it done properly IMO...
