hey all.. ive been doing some research about the cvt flushing etc..
my brothers jazz has got this problem where its got the viabration..
we took the car to a local mechanic and they changed the fluid with normal tranny fluid and not cvtf..
the car seemed to work fine, however now the tranny is about to go, when i accelerate for a split second the car would move.. then stop moving as in it will not revv or move faster.. then it would move again..
i have the 03 model of the honda jazz.. its no longer covered by warranty..
what should i do?

By letting your mechanic put normal tranny fluid, you're just damaging the cvt even more. Go flush it with cvtf and put cvtf in there. If that doesn't solve the problem then you pretty much going to fork out money to get the cvt fixed.

How many Joe Average mechanics do you reckon have filled CVT Jazz's with the wrong Tranny Fluid over the years ? Has to be the main reason I reckon, why Honda have dropped it. A fantastic transmission killed by lack of knowledge/ignorance.

Shop around the honda service as well, you can pick up a 4L bottle for about $80-$85
