D series compressor on B series motor fit?

Would the D series compressor fit on the B series AC bracket?
Anyone out there knows or tried it.

I know that the AC hose won't line up, just want to know if the compressor will fit, if it does then i just get D series AC hose.

Any help or advice will be great

There are three variables here:

D Series 1.6, D Series 1.5 and the B Series (B16, B18 and B20).

Each bracket is different.

The D16Y1 (for example) is a large bracket that combines the offside engine mount via an arm. The B16A bracket is similar and may even be the same but because it is mounted on my car I can't tell exactly.

The D15B4 bracket is a solid lump of metal, square in shape.

The D15 compressor and the D16 compressor are different too!

Here's the D15 compressor and bracket mounted on my D16Y1 engine:

So you can see that the D15 compressor will not bolt to the B Series bracket. But the D16 might.

Either way, the AC lines will be oriented differently and are not cross-matched for fit.

I have a B16A in my '94 EH Sedan, the D16Y1 that came out of it is being rebuilt and going into my '91 ED Hatch, and the D15B4 will be used to anchor my boat (when I get one ;) )

have you tried the D13b2 compressor? it would probably be a straight fit up just be careful as the D13 has 2 different compressors the bolt that attaches the A/C line to the compressor will either be a 10 or a 12mm bolt
