03 VTi-S vs. 06 Vti-S

Hi guys, im looking at buying a 2nd hand Jazz VTi-S, and i was wondering whats your opinions on whether the pre facelifted or facelifted Vti-s model is better?

Besides the led lights, wing indicators, full size spare. Is there any mechanical dis/advantages between the two? Theres only a couple of $k between the two in price, and IMO i like the 03 body kit.

But i was wondering also is the 06 Vti-S stereo has mp3 as well?

If you just wanna play your iPod then use a FM transmitter. I've got one and it works great otherwise if you wanna play mp3 cd's then aftermarket HU is the only way to go.

go 03 becoz its jap made. lol
u can easily get a aux input done by ur self. then u can plug in ipod or any mp3 even laptop

the 03 has done 58k and the 06 has done 48k, only a difference of 1000 bucks in price.

Sounds like you're holding back because you want to buy the 03, but it makes sense to buy a newer car, the 06 because of the LED back lights and other face lift items.


Considering the difference in kms is only 10k. A year's worth of driving, the 03 should still be in good condition.

I would go 03 purely because it's Made in Japan, that's just me.

I have an 03 VTIS and I prefer the rear spoiler on the 03 vs the 06 as the 06 spoiler is too small. The 03 RIMs look nicer too.

However, for 1k difference in price, I would go the 06. its three years younger. Why is the price diff only 1k though?

i'd bargain down the 03 further by at least another $1k and if that fails get 06.

if you get the jazz.. please read about the cvt before deciding which model u should get.. we had this problem on our jazz.. check for service history on the 03 jazz and how often they change there cvt fluid with cvtf.. and not with the standard honda fluid..

as far as the CVT concern i think it depends on the way the driver treat/trash the box and it only takes the factory oil n nothing else (it'll cough). i think i would try bagain hard on the 06 as the value hold's a bit better then the 03 jazz.
you could buy more fancy wing later .....
