Youll need a asr brace for it to fit onto the body.

If you're experienced enough you can make one yourself but its fairly hard to get everything 100%. If the swaybar doesnt come with Dlinks and bushings youll need to buy them aswell.

Heres some pics of mine.

If you're going to buy it all.

Youll need a itr swaybar kit and a asr brace for a dc2.

The kit consists of:
1x itr swaybar
2x endlinks
2x dlinks
2x bushes

And the asr brace has everything youll need to bolt it on.

Its as simple as taking the old one off undoing the lca bolts etc.

Then just bolting the asr on and then putting the itr on that.

sorry...but is the bracket = the asr?
How much would the whole thing cost?

Give jdmyard a call and ask them if they can do a asr+itr swaybar kit for you.

And like I said I made my asr because I wanted it to be cheaper, but you have to be good at certain things.

you sure you need the ASR to bolt it on?
I would have thought that if you had the whole swaybar + endlinks + swaybar bushes & D- links you would be fine.
The ASR is usually only to strengthen the rear chassis

Hey Jeff, do you have holes in the rear bit to bolt on the Dlinks?
If they are there you should be able to get away without the ASR

Well unless its the updated subfram 98+ iirc you need the asr. The itr dlinks are to big for the holes otherwise.

ahh i see. Then will either need to redrill the holes or buy ASR.

my other option would be get a whilteline kit. It will have brackets made up to fit up the dlinks.
Cheaper than buying the ASR

Steer clear of the whiteline gear, has been known to tear the subframe even just normal daily driving.
One too many bad reviews is mroe than enough reason to stear clear imo.

ITR sway + ASR + DC4 = WIN!

Like I said at the start.

Asr and itr swaybar would be the best combo.

Since you're not very competent with making stuff just buy the asr.

hey mate,

whitelines old swaybar mounting kit has been known to rip subframes. they have a new revised kit which is of similar design to the asr (one peice, instead of their old two peice set up) which seems to do the job. These kits are used to mount 22mm swaybars which is the size of the aust. spec dc2r.
if you want to go 24mm you will need to purchase the W0400-24 kit, this comes with two replacement bushes in 24mm internal diameter and will mount onto the whiteline re-inforcement/mounting kit.

Whiteline's shopfront is no longer located in Minto. it has relocated to Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. They have been selling through a number of outlets including all Repco, Bursons, Coventry's, Auto One, Autobarn and a number of specialised dealers.

hope that helped.

hey guys sorry to drag up a bit of an old thread but is whitline really that bad, i have a dc2 and want some sway bars and my first thought was whiteline as i know many people ppl that use them

and pardon the noob question but is ASR a brand or the actual type of brace. could you use an asr and a whiteline swaybar?

or is the ITR and ASR kit combo the best?

also, where can you get these kits?

The Whiteline sway bar itself is ok, but it's the subframe reinforcement kit which had the problems.

ASR is the brand of reinforcement kit, yes Whiteline sway bar to suit ITR will fit.

ITR + ASR is tried and proven. I personally have ITR + Beaks, but ASR is easier IMO.

Try JDMYard, probably can supply the lot.

hey mr balls

why is the swaybar upside-down ?

shouldnt have any clearance issues with any piping or control arms...
