custom intirior - designs???

hey guys...dc2 integra - i wanna do the intirior; door trims, seats and roof..

i just wanted to get some ideas about for design (colours and colour coding?) and also .. is it hard to upholster the seats yourself or is it better off left to a pro?

i dunno im personally thinking.... black leather seats with red inserts and red stitching but might think of similar options..make it look classy sexy is all i can say

roof will probably depend on how your going to keep your dash so its not to contrasting with each other.. so its like a flow on....but you goto have somehing like the black you had with your seats

Ahhh... I remember when I trimmed my last car with leather... If you do it right (actually use LEATHER) and look after it, you'll be happy with it.

Some advice i'll give you is go around to a few places and when you get a quote, ask to see a sample of the leather (Material) they'll be using, and to see a sample of the work they have done (most of them would have done there own car). Also, if you plan to do a few sections of the car (Seats, door trims, Glove box cover etc) do it all at once, because you'll never get the same colour... AAALLLLSSSOOOO... ask them how much it'll cost to re bolster the seat... basically adding more foam to the seat... I had the middle of the rear seat bolstered up so it looked like a two seater... and that gave a good effect. I have a few pics of my last car on my computer at home if you would like me to post them up... was quiet a basic design, but looked really good.

i might black the roof (its grey atm), simple leather design in the seats and match the door trim.

not everyone is into madcore performance and wants a stripped out racemobile

some people arent after the fastest speeds around wakefield, but instead prefer a comfortable driving experience.

telling them to wait till they can buy a car with leather standard is like telling people not to do an engine conversion and jsut buy whatever car it is....

if i wanted a light weight super teg i wouldn't have got a sub, and i would have offloaded the back seat a long time ago haha,
its also because i want to be the one to do it, just for the satisfaction.

Yeah i agree im doing up my dc5r for autosalon next year and am also thinking about the interior. Im thinking red leather with black so similar to stock but just that little bit extra to make it real classy. Any1 know of any good leather trimmers in melb? Preferably on the east side.

I had the black/red leather combo with red stitching in my old Teg, came up rather well. The red on the seats is actually suede, much more sensible up here in QLD - doesn't burn your ass in summer and provides more grip in the twisties ;)

Gsi_Psi - ye man thats really nice, but i rekon if i used white soft leather like that, no one would be allowed to even get in the car if their the slightest bit dusty hahah and even then, take their shoes off and hose themselves down before they step in..

Kenno'Teg - i like that idea though, my car is burgandy so i rekon black and red will turn out good. do you have any pics?

the only honda's that can be considered 'classy' are accords, and DC5S/DC5L. i hate it when people try and make their 10-year old moderately-priced car 'classy'.

Like in hot4's, there will be a 4 door lancer gxi with bright paint, 20's, and 'classy' tan leather interior. ITS NOT ****ING CLASSY it's a waste of money.

its personal taste, i like the look and feel of my teg, i just reckon i can make it look and feel a bit BETTER with a bit of classy leather.

thing bout the DC5S is that they didnt go for such a classy leather look, none of that 'soft' stuff like in the accord euro, n it came out sweet! i reckon if VTEC18 is gonna do a leather interior then it should be similar to what the DC5S is like inside, turn it into a luxury sports car not a confused 14yr old car trying to be a bmw inside and ferrari on the outside like most of the cars u see in car mags these days.

u should just go for the plain black leather interior with red stitching, get red carpet and roof lining should be done in black. especially since ur car is almost red anyway ;)

i got dark grey leather interior in my EK
i love it... i dont think it looks classy or anything... but i think its practical as! when ever i eat or drink in the car and drop or spill something i just pull out a leather wipe and clean it up... lol

Basically I got the idea from my mums Afla... also the "GTi" on the seat added a nice touch.

if people didnt waste there money on mods like retrimming interior, then maybe you could save enough money from not modding to buy that euro or beemer

naa thats out of a civic, not a dc5 interior. i like it tho ;).. im actually in the process of searchin for red carpet out of the dc5R for my car

I go for red suede with silver stiching :D instead of leather or you can mix and match between those 2 :D

Pink leather... with chrome inserts and white playboy bunnies stiched everywhere. 4 subs, and neon's everywhere. It's the only way. Ohhh and then get realllyyyy dark tints so no one can see what you have done to the interior of your car, or have no tints what so ever, so you get sunburnt and get defected. Sexspec FTW.

Stip your whole car so there is no interior , remove your front and rear seats, your carpet, most of your dash, and sit on a custom made stool for driverseat so it goes faster and you can please the full jdm bro"s
