Will i notice any difference in mileage and perfermance using 98 unleaded compared to regular 91. The car is only 3 weeks old with 1500kms on the clock.

My 02 CRV that i just traded got better mileage with no performance benefit using 98 unleaded.

What about the Shell Racing fuel 100 Octane but it has 10% ethanol?

Filling up with premium makes no difference to the milage or performance for newer cars.
Got an 08 CRV in February and it's clocked up 25,000km already. I have varied from using 3 fills PULP (98RON) and compared it with 3 fills of ULP (91RON).

Makes no difference to the milage and noticed no difference in performance.
Save your money and stick to ULP unless your car says so.

I thought that maybe the case, have you tried E10 yet, i spoke to the Honda service and they suggested it ?

Thats big kms in a short amount of time, any disappointments yet with the car?

what sort of mileage do you get out of your CRV?

a guy at my work has a auto and he got as low as 8.1 litres to the 100 on a long trip and regularly gets in the mid 9's around town.

Honda says 10 per 100 but i have read people get as low as 12 around town.

I used to fill shell v-power 98 and get around 10lt-10.7/100km (no different with RON91 unleaded figure)

I have done 2500km on my crv and my lifetime fuel cons avg is 10.6liter/100km and been improved from around 11liter. (i kept 1 trip meter as original)

The last average fuel cons on my auto crv lux got 9.5.lt/100km avg (mixed traffic) with BP ultimate 98 with the same traffic condition, I want to stick to this fuel for now as I felt slightly quick/light acceleration before other (some ppl said mobil fuel is the best but I don;t have them around my place)

I drive the cr-v for weekend (better traffic) most of the time to go to shops and travelling and my wife only drive it for short distance during weekdays.

At the moment (after travelling 160km) I managed 8.9liter/100km (been good traffic 50-50 town/highway) and I only filled 1/2 tank last week (still have 216km to empty on trip computer), not that bad :)

My worst fuel cons avg is 12.5lt/100km in around 150km trip (including a lot of climbing hill & stop and go).
