Someone told me the other day that the Civic 1989-91 fuel fumps are the same as the CRX ones (1988-91).

Just wondering if someone here can confirm this is correct.

depends

AUDM civics were carby, so they jsut used a small pickup pump.

AUDM CRXs were efi do they used a proper fuel pump

therefore no, they arent the same

the jdm civics however were efi, so they had the same pump

Ok thanks for that. Surely there wouldnt be a great deal of JDM civics around here in Oz.

What I was told specifically was that the 1991 civic Si had the same pump. hmmmm

the prices Ive been quoted here in SA have been borderline rediculous. Wreckers asking between $195 - $250 for a second hand one. Funny thing is Motor traders is askin' around $200 for a new one :S

hahahahaha lameo

why not upgrade to an aftermarket or bigger one while you have teh chance?

ive heard that VL Turbo fuel pumps are great for this application, and they drop straight in

Hmmm

It depends if you are after an in-tank, or external fuel pump...

If your car already has the fuel pump in the tank, you can just get a walbro intank pump... Not to pricey, and good stats....

If you are after an external pump, or your car is carby you can add a VL turbo pump to it... A bosch 070 pump... Add some piping, run a power relay for it and your good to go!!!

its already in tank. Sounds like the walbro one is the way to go. Is that pump usually available anywhere?

does the intank pump just drop into the old spot and all teh lines attach up? all you need to do is run power?

That i am unsure of... Havn't had any experience with the intank pump. I don't see why it couldn't, mabey have to make up a bracket or buy a bracket for it but I think it would probably be best to get into contact with sombody that sells them and ask if it is possible....

If you do get find out if it fits definitely post what you find out up, as i would love to get the proper pump running in my car
