will 17" x 9jj. +17 offset fit a dc5r?

I doubt it. Stock offset for DC5S is +45 with a 7" rim. I am unsure of DC5R but it shouldn't be too different to that.

I say that will fit as ive seen 17x9.5s fit on a dc5r in person.

The right mix of camber and drop and you should be fine.
Will look hot too ;)

As Q says it will fit with the right amount of camber and the right tyre size ;). That is my car pictured in Q_ball's post and those wheels just tuck with 5.something camber and 245/40 tyres. They are probably going to rub on the fenderliner clips though. When I want bigger tyres I will have to flare my guards.

Very difficult to fit that at the rear though. Rolled and pulled guards, lots of camber (>5) and smaller tyres would be required.

wow -5 camber? wouldn't you get heaps of camber wear?

I have been running -4.6 for nearly a year and 20,000ks. Wear is acceptable and I have had my tyres flipped inside out.

isn't that much negative camber a bit overboard for a road car?

i mean too much can make the car unstable in a straight line, and then there's the increased tyre wear..?

whom i believe is homosexual

Post reported :p.

Lowered my car some more today and I can confirm that 17x9.5 +15 with 245/40 tyres will rub on the fenderliner clips at zero to half finger gap between tyre and guard.

A 17x9 +17 would fit easily at the front with a 235 tyre and a bit of camber.

quoted for the truth.

to the OP, as you can see, it does fit.. but you'll need a bit of camber and lowering for it to look good..

turning circle gets worse as offset decreases (wheels sit further out)
having said that, i like the look

Are you sure about that? I am running 17x9.5 +15 with -5.3 camber and I am still able to use just as much steering lock as I could on stock wheels. I haven't measured my turning circle but I am sure any difference is negligible.

I like the look too .

yeh, i can tell my turning circle is worse.
not too bad though, just my other half complains because it's harder to do 3 point turns.
so obviously she notices it too..lol
