I was about to get some new tyres (Nexen) but at the last minute the shop said they coudn't get the Nexens in due to no stock in the size I needed. So they are going to supply Federal tyres instead - the SS595 model - for the same price.
I don't know much about Federal as I had never considered them before. Are they shite? Are they quiet-running? Good grip and handling, etc etc? Where are they made?

i had them 205/40/17, they were good in the dry and avg in the wet. directional tyres so they used to track all over the place, they smoke up good though.

One of my tyre suppliers sed dat the Federals were made from Michelin or somethin like that. He reckons they're not bad!

We know people who own a tyre shop, they put federals on our ute. They seem decent for the price. They are a michelin dealer, however the validity of your statement i am unsure of.

I believe they have the same agent in Australia....
If they are made by Michelin, they would be their cheap tyre brand...
