CTR Lips

Hey guys, I've been searching for Civic Type R lip kits on the forum, and I wanted to see what the difference is between the CTR lips for the Facelift and Prefacelift models..

I can't really comprehend which lip is which.. They all seem to confuse the shit out of me..

I just want to compare the looks of them and how they sit, etc..

Id also like to see what it would look like having a CTR lip on a EJ8 bumper as Im considering either keeping the prefacelift look or change it to an EJ8 bumper, or just do the whole 99-00 facelift!

no huge diff in teh actual design of the lip, prob just the shape of the upper part of it

1st of all, ej8 IS prefacelift. EM1 is the facelift coupe.

Thanks alot guys, killa i know ej8 is prefacelift, but it just doesnt have those ugly black plastic strips which really look hideous..

how come the preface ctr lip trism showed has that overlap, but the one killa showed me doesnt seem like there is an overlap?

also, thats the genuine type R pre-facelift lip..the replica's look slightly different, skirts out more and doesnt seem to overlap as much. have a look around the appearance thread, theres a couple of prefacelift with replica type r lips.

in terms of the facelift replica type r lip, its pretty close to the genuine look, but again slightly skirts out more than genuine.
imo, the replica prefacelift ctr lip looks weird, unless you can get genuine..i would go for the sir lip for the prefacelift bumper.

sorry for stealing thread but i went to Honda an asked can they source a lip for my ej8, would that be a sir lip?? if not what lip would it be?? he said it was a genuine one but not sure if it was a sir or not

ive got a genuine ctr lip with ej8 bumper on my ek..
most of the preface replica lips look the same as the the facelift ctr lip

did that for half an hour, all i found was sir lips on their own.. not fitted onto the cars...

the si-r lips aren't that crash hot... kind boring to me...
i think ill probably get the ctr lip on a ej8 bumper
