Have you changed ANYTHING at all before the idle has changed, have you cleaned your IACV valve yet?

If the iacv is stuck or sticky it can cause the revs to sit high, it does not only cause the revs to hunt, do the revs ever drop to a normal level?

when you change the ROM the base timing migth change if the ROM has different ignition tables

use a timing light with a hot motor and bridge the SCS
