hi guys,

I just hit a curb few days ago.. i was going about 50-55 arround a bend/ramp. and i just woke up in the morning rushing to work...

and i hit my right front wheels unto a curb.. *BANG!* but i manage to put it back on the road..

i didnt damage the wheel at all.. pheewww..

but one of my concern now that the alignment are abit wierd!...
i cant make my car go straight.. even i tried to make it steady on the steering wheel.. ie holding it and not moving it left and right ..

it tends to pull right and than i adjust it.. and it pulls to the left..
now when i make a full lock turn .. it had this wierd soft griding noise

what would be the damage here??

THANKS GUYS!

Welll next time dont hit the curb....

You've most likely damaged something in your suspension... You could of put you toe and camber settings out you could of even broken something... i know i once clipped a gutter doing a u turn and it put my toe out 3mm or something ridiculous

A) Take it to a mechanics and get them to check it all ut on a hoist or
B) Take it to a tyre centre and get a wheel alignment done and see if it fixs it

At what angle did you hit the curb, draw a paint shop diagram, if it was front right towards rear left generally might have bent LCA, but it could also mean you've knocked out your alignment or bucked the wheel.

wobbling means wheel is buckles and out of balance

pulling means alignment is out

alignment is out or worse case, you bent your lca

weif you change your lca yourself should cost you only about 70-100 for a lca. but if its not that and just alignment should be cheap bro, cant really tell you unless we see it. but from the angle you knocked your tires, lets hope its not bucked rims, cause that means new rim.

i done the same thing hit a kurb broke a rim then the car would hug to the left ever on a stright if i wasnt holding the wheel. i got full allignment done and fixed it pretty well but it still hugs to the left alot, anyone know what that maybe?

broke a rim - need new rims bro, with a broken rim an alignment can never be done.

You can't bash your suspension out of alignment and expect to fix it by adjusting the tie-rods. If something is bent then the only solution is to replace the bent part.

wobbling means wheel is buckles and out of balance

pulling means alignment is out

Or your nuts aren't tight enough.

unlucky, just get it looked at at a mechanic and get a quote. Most places will give you a free quote on the repairs and you will know what is really wrong with it rather than, people just guessing. If its not too much get it fixed, otherwise you can get another quote or DIY

you could have broken the tierods as well as the right control arm. it could have pushed the right control arm farther hence why your car is pulling to the right.

like what the others say, go to a suspension mechanic and have it checked. if you're in sydney go to JAX in Liverpool or ACE Tyres in Smithfield.

Hi. I Just hit a kerb driving home from work at 4 am and it was raining. I was going mayb 50k took a right turn and the car lost grip and turn wide and i hit the kerb my front left wheel only. nothing else. Now my front left wheel is pushed back towards the rear and is touching the rear inside of the guards. I manage to drive home.
The car drives straight and doesnt pull. But the front left tire was rubbing against the guards.Burnt rubber smell all the way home. LOL.

Anyone know what would need to be replaced?
Guestimated Cost to repair?
Good Cheap workshop to repair?

Anyhelp would be great thanks.

i'll take a punt that you busted your lca that totally threw out your caster angle(the reason why it's sitting way back in your wheel arch)

Do Pedders still offer their cheap suspension and safety checks? $14 for 28 point or something like that?
