Arrong, now you know why I need a T28 instead of T25 lol

By the way, if you want more info, that kit on that book is the RB1 odyssey turbo kit from HKS, which is the one I am getting! And if you looking at the HKS manuals, this kit installed onto RB1/2 only gives extra 21ps (from 194ps -> 217ps), but it pulls out a lot more torque (From 211Nm -> 295Nm) AND the torque peak rev lowered as well (from 4200rpm -> 3100rpm) , so this kit is more like a torque improvement kit! I suppose torque is what we need for our car, especially out of corners on tracks!

Arrong, My turbo kit is on its way! coming by air soon... should arrive latest end of next week~ *grin* :p

Anyway, as soon as the kit arrives, i will create a thread and post some pics of the kit~

Will you still need to put a spacer in between the head and block to lower compression for this bolt on kit?

It doesn't sound like it's just a "bolt on kit" to me or else everyone would be doing it.

Our project will not lower the compression, at least for now :)

the stock internal should be tough enough to run about 0.3-0.4 bar of a 380ps turbo, well at least we hope it is tough enough ^^

and yes, its not as easy as saying its a "bolt on kit", because modifications have to be made. Once we get our hands on it, we will know something is not gonna fit! haha~

At this stage, we only know there is a minor sanding needs to be done.

There will difinitely some modifications needs to be done, but what exactly we won't know until we get our hands on it, and also since we are upgrading the turbo, there might be a chance that the turbo does not fit in the space. We will know ^^

yeah you could make it fit... youd need custom exhaust and aftermarket ecu, possibly kpro or greddy ultimate...

on stock motor youd maybe make 250-300whp... mmmmmm nice

Says there that you need to source your own downpipe to connect the exhaust side of the turbo to your exhaust system.

This package has all new quality parts that are capable of producing well beyond 485 horsepower at 25+ PSI with supporting modifications and a built motor. This is the most complete package available compared to others at an affordable price. On a stock motor the kit will create give the motor a 100 horsepower gain on a low boost setting of 8 PSI :thumbdwn:

You'd need $1500 for tuning, $1500 for exhaust, $1000 for intake, $500 for bigger intercooler, $1500 for forged internals, $2000 worth of labour... approx $8000 ontop of that kit... then you'd have 450-500whp

anyone think this kit would be worth the hassle of buying? or just another ebay item that will probably need most things replaced anyway?

the turbo is probably a cheap chinese made turbine thatll wreck the bearings in the first 1000kms... intercooler piping is probably only 0.5mm and will buckle under proper clamps... the silicon joins will probably slip off the intercooler all the time because theyre only single ply, and the oil cooler/lines/sandwich plate will probably leak...

ive had friends buy similar "all in one kits" for different cars... you get what you pay for...

i think its a good deal if u want it for a daily drive running on around 8psi then u wouldnt have to upgrade too many other parts etc, anyway with 485hp on a FWD, GG torque steer, i'd be comfortable with high 200's, running stock internals etc just to give the euro that extra oooomft :P

nope... CU2 has its header moulded into the cylinder head... so you wouldnt be able to fit the turbo manifold... :(
