I have roof Racks on my 05 CRV and I was wondering how much of a difference to they make on fuel consuption.
I dont use them so would I be better to take them off so get a better fuel consuption or don't they make much of a difference

Removing them should reduce wind noise.. and drag..... and weight. If no improvement on fuel consumption, at least it should reduce wind drag and air tuburance.. should improve aerodynamic and handling at highspeed.

I will take them off tonight and see how it goes

if they were an aftermarket bodgey set i would agree more ,but being standard honda ones they would be more aerodynamic you would think ,,but i could be wrong ,,jas

Unless you are doing a lot of highway driving, fuel inefficiencies due to drag would be negligable in normal traffic/city driving.
The most innefficient fuel consumption would be the lead foot compared to your roof racks (unless a yacht was tethered to your roof!!!)
leave it on, it makes cr-v looks tougher!

I went to take them off expecting the ket to just unlock them and then they pull of
Saw the screws and figured I haven't got the covers of rit so I left them on
