View Full Version : Super low Kings Springs with DC2R dampers
I used to have a DC4 with the king super low springs and stock dc4 dampers. It was alright, but too low for my liking. Probably dropped it almost 3" and the front wheel looked slammed. Worst part was that it scraped on most corners (I could live with the driveways).
If I use the same springs, but on an EG with DC2R Dampers, what can I expect? Exact same handling? Little bit higher? Still scraping?
The original springs were Honda Civic Super Lows, but I put them on my DC4 -- if that changes anything.
I want N+, but can't afford it. Not at our current aussie dollar lol.

better handling, same height, same scraping.

The DC4 is approx 200kg heavier than the 950kg EG civic. In reality the springs will better suited to the Civic but the damping won't be fantastic with any kind of stock shocks. DC2R shock will make a world of difference but won't be quite perfect for superlow.
It will sit higher and feel stiffer than it did in the DC4.

Thanks mate. My thoughts on the DC4 was "it was drivable but it looked really good which made the bump stops and scraping acceptable"
I would LOVE it to be a tad higher, and not constantly scrape. An occasional scrape is okay too I spose. But I did 'upgrade' to ITR suspension (sways, struts and shocks/springs). So If by swapping to these king springs, if it's going to completely KILL my ride I might stay away. Last time with stock DC4 Shocks, I wasn't surprised if killed the handling because the stock dampers were awesome.
No guesses on how much higher it might sit?

I'd guess up to an inch quite easily, but will depend on the spring rate. Otherwise find some Spoon progressives for about $500, I got them on my Type R shocks and they're very good and well matched.
