Ok so I know im probably going to get flamed for this but still ill have a crack.
I currently have a dc2 vtir with a cai,5zigenheaders, highflow cat and a fujitsubo catback. I bought a skunk2 intake manifold a while ago and have been hesitant on wether I should install it. Ive researched alot and from every site im getting mixed answer on wether I will get gains from using it with stock ecu and no extra tune, meaning straight bolt on and turn car on.
So for this question, will I get any gains from running the intake manifold with a stock ecu?
Next question.
First time at the drags I ran a 15.117 with 17"x7.5 gramlights and shitty 205,40,17 nankang rubber and completely full trim incl full tank of fuel. Also running the mods I noted above and type-r suspension, everything else is stock.
I want a high 14 out of the car and I know with practise I will probably get it. Since I had been driving on my p's for about a month before I went out to the drags. If I upgrade to a lightened flywheel and new hd ceramic clutch, some t1r's/re001's on my stock 15x6 rims and maybe the intake manifold if the question above is answered, will I have a good chance of running a 14.9 or less?
I dont want to run semis and im not looking to get headwork for a while so im just trying to crack a 14 for the moment.
I also dont want to strip the car as its a pain for me since its my daily for school, work etc.
Thanks for your time :),
