Hey there..

I'm 26 and I'm just learning to drive now (old girlfriends always had cars but my current gf is 18 and doesnt) - just bought my first car, 1990 Civic GL HB. I know dick all about cars! So im sure I'll be on here a lot!!

Have posted a thread in the 2000 & below forum. Would appreciate any advice on good quality / reasonable cost service on the West side here in Melb.

My girlfriends always had cars/licenses and I lived in the CBD.. I live way out now so I'm finally getting off my arse and getting the license.

Also I cant walk to a train station! About 40 minute walk away. With summer coming up will be sweaty as hell before I even get on a train to get to work in the morning.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm out Hoppers way. Called Westside Honda and they said $220 for a general service for my Civic. Not sure if that is a good price or not..

I'll be posting heaps of questions as I'm a total noob, so thanks in advance for your tolerance!

Thanks for the tip. Will do!

Any idea how popular the 1990 era civics are with thieves? I dont plan to get massive decals or anything.. I plan to just try to Murder-out my car, black/gunmetal wheels, pewter paint, tinted windows..
