Hi Everyone,
I'm currently in the mind of trying to improve the current B20 setup, but still quite a noob to this & was hoping u could all help out.
I very happy with the improvement in torque, however would still like to have more power.
Turbo is not an option as i would still like to keep it as a daily drive with less headaches.

you need a Bigger cams to make that Compression work. Look at Skunk2 Pro 1' or 2's.
Get yourself an ITR intake manifold and bigger T/b with a correct intake length

yep as above, looks like you've already got the bottom end sorted. Time to work the head.

skunk 2 intake and bigger t/b made huge diffrence and response aswell as torque

I agree with what the other guys have said,
Without naming brands I can expand on that further.
For a little more response & power,
Have cylinder head professionally ported
Upgrade cams, springs, retainers & cam pulleys.
Upgrade intake manifold to ITR or SK2 intake manifold + 65mm throttle
Upgrade header & exhaust system
& for a lot more response & power,
Get a good set of 50mm quads with an air box & CAI feed
Have cylinder head professionally ported including change of port shape to suit the quads,
Upgrade STD valves to 0.5mm oversize H/C race valves
Upgrade header & exhaust system
Increase the fuel pressure, change the injector size to around 380~440cc & fit a Walbro High Pressure 255L/Hr fuel pump
Retune the S300 & use the secondary tables as TPS over 90~95kpa
(NB: Be sure to retain OEM idle speed motor & MAP senor if you go with quads ;))
Change crank pulley to Fluid damper or ATI
In either case, If you havn't already...
Fit at least a 4.9 final drive & LSD or find a DC2R gearbox & go from there
Hope that helps,
Cheers

All depends on how much you want to spend. You can do the basic bolt on mods then do the head.
I.e Intake manifold, Bigger T/B (68mm or 70mm)
Intake length wont be known until it sits on the dyno. (if your tuner allows you to add length and do a dyno run to get the right length)

Yeah it looks like i'll be starting with intake manifold, bigger T/B & upgrading my header first.
Once more funds are available i guess i'll then be working the head.
Thanks for the replies!

if i'm not mistaken this is the motor/car we put together for the previous owner. All you really need to do is spend the money on the head with the right selection of parts, porting you should make some decent power after a re-tune.
Due to limited funds the previous owner did not have enough to finish the project, his lost is your gain :)
PS.
You already have an ITR intake manifold and ITR throttle body but still room for improvement there

If this bottom end is built right, it can handle 8800rpm. Get a good set of valve train and set of good cams and you should see good numbers.

Hi Bowzer,
You're exactly right, haven't really had the chance to come down to see Sokki, so thought i would do my research first.
I did receive a copy of all the mods & parts used in the build, but i guess i'm interested in finishing the project.
