Hey guys, i will be picking up a set of 225-40-18 R888 semis tomorrow.
Just wanted to ask what psi should i be running the semis on wakie when cold and hot? Also what's a good psi for street run because i'm planning to use it as a daily.

lol but those are 18" tyres, 32 or 33 is for 17" right?

As I have learned from someone who does supersprints, if they are real semi slicks, then 30-32psi cold. The sidewall on semi slicks are stiffer than street tyres.

I also got 18" rims and same tyre size. haven't got anything wrong so far. How the pressure related to tyre size? just the volumn of the air may be more than 17' tyres but pressure is related to force per area^2. Thanks

Wouldn't the volume in the 18's be less....seeing as more is taken by the wheel. =/

yes should be less. is it mean you need to pump up lower pressure than 17" am I correct?

oh so lower for street  i always thought it want lower for track since they heat up quicker getting into the optimum pressure. I will sure try it out, i will be going to wakie on the 17th.

R888 should be similar. I'd start with 30-32 cold and then increase if required. Your friend realise that he can suffer oil starvation if he has very very high cornering G?

even with k series engine?? on my friend's dc2, no need semi and oil cuts around corners...

Oil starvation risk is higher with K than with B
