heya guys,
just wondering if you guys had any tips for driving dumped cars. i just recently got my lip on and it occasionally scraps here and there but mostly up and down driveways and left turns onto roads which start off with a ditch.
What's the best way to go up and down a driveway with greatest clearance?
i just got my lip on unpainted so i can practice driving around without worrying that the lip has been scraped.
any help is appreciated
cheers guys :cool::thumbsup:

is ur drive way going down or up?
mine is going down i put sand bags at the end of my drive way acting like a soft ramp so it wont scratch or scrape and also curb while ur going down or up ur drive way!

swerve away from MASSIV potholes but be safe.lol
take all driveways and speedbumps on a angle. as closeas u can to the kerb but till enuf room to lock the steering and still make it.lol
speedbumps just take it at a 45* angle.
dips... i usually cut the corner and end up almost driving with the dip. then hookin it at the end and turning straight into the road.

speed humps take them on an angle.
and slowly =]
sometimes reversing helps when up and down driveways

those metal grates are a great investment if you can find a place that sells them, my mate has one for his driveway it makes life so much easier lol no scrappage at all

when you turn to the street instead of turning the way how u turn the street turn away from it lol i dunno if that made sense but ill give u a scenario!
when u turn left on a road with a dip..instead of turning left and following the road... turn right to the dip slowly and then kerb it slowly agen!!
did i make sense lol!

find an alternative route?
the lower your car is the less places you can go.
personally i don't like slamed cars so my prelude has a 2 finger gap all around. i'm lowered on kings low. i can get tho most places without issues but once in a while i scrape the metal tow hook under the front bumper out of service stations/carparks etc.
no big deal.

The metal grates idea is good cause you can buy those, if those sandbags are temporary and you pull them out each time they're fine, but if you leave them there it's illegal and the council can fine you for blocking the path of the kerb drains.
