View Full Version : how to remove dc2 rear seats

Hey all.. jus cleaning out da whole car da other day.. n wanted 2 fix up n tighten seatcovers.. did a search on here.. didnt really find any info besides 4 civic n teg LS... I did it once to clean it out, I think it was as simple sliding your hand behind the rear of the bench and tilting it upwards. Then the front either just unclips, or has a couple bolts, can't quite remember sorry.

Tilt both of the seats down by lifting the knob on either side of the seats.

Then on each end of the seat you just tilted and near the bottom you will see a little black clip which looks like a U shape with a little point in the middle. Pull that little clip off both sides and then you can pull the top portion of the seat off by wiggling it either left or right then pulling it up.

Next, after lifting the top portion of the seat it will expose a bolt which the bottom portion is bolted into the chassis with. its prob a 10 or 12mm bolt just undo it.

then as Tonedc2 said, i think you lift the rear of the seat first then pull the whole seat base off by lifting it out of the holes in the bottom.
