Hi all,

Did a search, but yeilded no results. My parents 98 Odyssey has a strange issue with the accelerator. Upon first driving it, the accelerator is 'snapped' in position (think of how winamp 'snaps' to the edge of the desktop), and wont depress at all unless you give it a reasonable amount of force. But in doing so, will results in an uncomfortable launch.

It only happens the first time the accelerator is de-pressed and wont happen again until the car has been off for a couple hours.

Was wondering if anyone else experiences this and/or could address this issue? Much appreciated.

clean the throttle body with TB cleaner

also spray the TB spring area where the cable connects with WD40,

you may have to lube the throttle cable to the pedal and AT throttle cable, incase they are binding
