thats quite normal

in newer cars its flicking it forward for high beam
but pretty normal for a ek yoooo
holding it halfway (activiating the hi beam whilst low is on) is good, pretty bright covering both close range and further range

no its perfectly normal.
EK uses H4 globes which has two filaments. One for Low beam and the other filament is for High beam.
When activating the the high beam, the low beam deactivates.
When pulling the flash function (pulling without clicking) it leaves the low beam on while activating the high beam, meant to be used momentarily. But holding it to have both high and low beam on is alright.
Hope that make sense.

Every car I've driven has an option to turn on the head lights (low beam) then turn on high beams and drive with them both on at the same time.
This is the first time I've experienced such weird lights where only the low OR high beam can be turned on but NOT both...strange.
Hopefully someone can reply with a solution to this
go buy a HID kit then lol, thats how H4 bulbs are made so cant really call it a problem. Solution? dont drive a EK? lol

Thous other cars may have a different healight construction, were they might have H7 and H1 bundled together in the one headlight unit but have seperate reflecter housing.
Its different but not strange. I'm pretty sure other cars with H4 designed headlights do the same thing.
A solution could be to get after market headlight units, like thous angel eye ones, and wire them up as they have seperate globes for Low and High beam. May need to modify the wiring or relays etc. to make it happen thou. Maybe some here that has angel eyes or halo rings headlights can enligten us?...
And no, its a Mugen lip heh...

yeah thats normal
Totally normal here in the US too. 9003 / H4 / HB2 bulbs.
Why do you want both the low and high beams on at the same time? It only seems to give off a little bit better light, which could probably be solved by investing in some higher quality headlight bulbs.
