It kicks in at 6000rpm I believe.
Haven't had the chance to rev mine that high yet as it only has 980km on it.
Maybe I'll give it a go after the first service.

Comes in at about 5800...there is this surge of sound...you could hear it if you concentrate...but yeah...the euro's vtec is a lot smoother...

6000rpm - you'll notice it more with a cold air intake.

Isn't the vtec variable ingagement? I think i can feel it around 4 1/2k rpm. Either that or it is a flat spot.

Just put your foot to the floor. what else can you do?
That's what I did with my old automatic prelude.

Oooh boy, IT is obvious when the final stage kicks in at 6000RPM, at the first two stages at the lower RPM scale, it still can be felt in a sense that you can feel the surge. But at 6000RPM, it screams... Even more obvious with a zorst and CAI....

Yeah if u want ur Vtec to scream get a CAI or aftermarket pod airfilter. It will definetly make it scream. But for standard the vtec is not that loud. But when u are outside and somebody revs it to cut off u can still hear the Vtec sound. (It won't scream but it still can be heard)....
