Hi I am looking to change sussy setup, my front drivers side spring is making a funny noise not sure what it could be the springs have been resized to raise the car due to it being too low.

Also I recently put a rear sway bar on it handles better, but the front has started to skip out is this normal?
(Front sway bar 22mm & Rear sway bar 14mm)

Changing to either adjustable shocks and allspring springs or just going to go coilovers.

Has anyone got a good setup of adjustable shocks and springs and what was the cost is more then just purchasing coilovers?

as far as i know king springs will actually do custom springs if you ask
i.e. request a spring rate and height

What would they charge becuase allsprings are asking for 400 for 4 springs. Also what is a good spring rate? Iv only got the standard shocks on there

The rear just shocks have been changed like 3 months ago. The front seems really easy to push down. But jimmy you have seen how low the car is at the front I raised the front this yr.

Are the front shocks hard to change?

u changed ur rear shocks 3 months ago??

i highly doubt springs are the problem in terms of y u have shit handling

what shocks did you put in rear?

tell us the brand and whether they are new or not

anyway, u should get appropriate shocks for your aftermarket springs, your shit handling now is not due to springs, its due to you leaving them on stock shocks

dont waste ur money on new springs imo, go and buy a set of decent shocks

and good shocks usually have a degree of height adjustability so u can raise or lower the car as u see fit

and have a search, there are billions of threads with heaps of info, much more than wat you will get in here as the topic has been covered

also, with the right shocks that can work correctly and efficiently since they are designed to dampen disturbances coming from your spring length and stiffness, handling will improve dramatically and it will more than likely eliminate tyre scrub wile going straight over bumps

and its even likely tyre scrub at full lock will also be removed

lots of factors to consider

Not everybody's situation is the same. I'm getting a loud noise that comes out of the drivers side it never did that until the front springs where resized. It sounds like the spring is screwed so now can u tell me what is wrong?

sorry, i must have missed that bit

u resized the front springs?

ok, then i dunno, ud think they would last a while before failing....

have u pulled them out to have a look at?

if it is the springs, then replace all four, and get new shocks along with it

try kings and konis

or kings and bilsteins

Na haven't taken them out yet. I replaced the rear with the KYB Twin Gas Tubed shocks brand new about 3 months ago. I read that the pedders ones aren't the best for the price. Really considering just going a customer set of springs.

d2 coilover even though alot of people bag them because of that drifter guy. They are actually great bang for your buck. I know of quite a few d2 owners quite happy with them.

They can be bought from $850 a set and are height adjustable and dampner. If you have a bigger budget go for the likes of buddy club, tien etc

Heres a link, my friend has just purchased some for his jazz from this guy. I think he has more then whats listed there.

Theres also another budget brand daiyama which i have used before on my sp23 and aren't too bad either.

I would opt for d2 out of these two brands though.

Good luck with your susy prob.

For that price you should be able to get better brand then d2 like buddy club skunk2 or tein.

You should be able to get d2 cheaper. Did you try the link i gave you?
