hey guys,

i took my mugen 4-2-1 headers off engine (jdmb18c) and was going to put it on my jdm b18cr engine, but theres a 17mm bolt that is in the way and is not letting the header sit in.

is there any way i can get around this issue?

cheers

yea my bad, was in a rush. its the 17mm bolt that holds the engine and gearbox together. its right after where the headers bend. i took the bolt off and oil started leaking so is there anyway to replace that bolt with a flatter 17 mm?

sounds incorrect to me. sounds like the wrong bolt was used. post some pics.

ill get some pics of the bolt in a few days wen i jack the car up on stands.

the bolt is more towards the front of the block.

i think you mean the gear box lower brace. there is 2 or them (17mm) that hold a L piece of metal between the gearbox and engine. removing it should NOT leak anything

PS just a funny thought , i hope you dont mean the oil sump plug lol

is it possible that the sump is different depth and hence it doesn't fit?

dude - sounds like you're undoing the sump plug bit it should NOT be in the way of the extractors in any case... extractors run through on the skinny side of the sump not where the plug is... somethings not right somewhere.
