 i don't know why when i doing red line shift from 1th to 2nd gear, the wheel will spin, i still using the original type from honda which is bridestone RE40, i know that's very good perfomance type, grid is really good.

Should I change gear slowly?

Or may something i need to take care of?

re040 is good, but not that good.. I changed them when they started loosing grip at around 19k km.

as mislovic said, it wheel hops badly.

to prevent it you will have to spend money on mods, but then still you will have slight wheel spin/hop.

hahahahaha

VTEC kicked in yo

you might be dumping the clutch... try easing it in abit more... i can manage a 1st to 2nd shift without wheel spin if i try really hard... and thats with alot more power than stock... but then again i do have 225 tyres... but they are only BF Goodrich (poor traction)

change back to smaller rims and get better tires... can get better acceleration too

dont dump the clutch so hard, it takes some skill to feed it in properly to avoid wheelspin.

a slight chirp is allright but some people think avoiding it all together is faster and causes less wear on your drivetrain, and then some others think small wheel spin gets the revs higher for acceleration in the next gear.. so its up to you

What mods prevent this?

What mods prevent this?
engine torque damper and suspension mod.

else as ron said, change to smaller wheels.

helps it a bit.

It will still spin with a torque damper. The reason it spins because in 1st gear the RPM is 7000+rpm, and in 2nd gear, it is 4500rpm. If you are shifting quick, releasing clutch with full throttle, then it will either wheel spin until the RPM comes back down or wheel spin until the vehicle speed comes back up or no wheel spin at all with the clutch taking the brunt of the wear.

torque damper for wheel hop i mean.

but yeh aaron got the jist of the answer.
and to the OP depends on the driver itself.

witha torque damper i reckon it chirps even more

i haven't had that problem, especially when i took the car same route to work, when i drop into an uneven section of the road the car before use to wheel spin a fair bit and hear it screech.

Now it doesn't do it at the same section as much.

well in a b16a it still does, as b16s tend to 'move' around alot more

I had suspension mod on my euro and I still have the same problem
so now I m kind of agree what Arron said...its all about controlling the clutch and throttle too quick?! I assume...?!

i believe the emperorJ is talking about a manual car... if that is the case, clutch and accelerator control might be the problem...
while i was driving my punny little 1.5 ES civic manual, i get some wheel spin if i were to rev and dump my clutch.

ETD will prevent a bit not by much though :)
