Muffler tip modification

got a pretty noob question. can the hangers for a muffler tip be modified? say an axle back for an EK to be put on a DC?

you mean the hangers on a muffler. The tip is just the end of the muffler
yes you can modify hangers, but a dc5 muffler will not fit an EK. Their mufflers too long to fit.

easy job u can prob do it at home if u have an angle grinder, welder and some metal rods

its a DC2.

is it possible just to modify the existing ones or do they cut it off and re-weld new hangers on? if they put new ones on, does that mean that it will leave 'scars' from where the old ones used to be?
