Dc2 Type R Frount Strut Bar On A EG

Hey guys im just wondering if a Dc2 Orginal Type R Strut Bar will fix on my eg ? My machinic told me it will i want 2 make sure b4 i buy 1? If so do they work better or do the same job than aftermarket front 2 point strut braces?
