Why don't you just retrim it ? Less headache, better outcome.
There's a DIY in the DIY section somewhere.

I can't help you with quantities as I haven't done the whole interior but I can give you a few tips based on what I have done.
For the vinyl areas don't use a primer. Just scrub them done real well with wax and grease remover to remove all traces of any protectant product that may have been used. I would recommend doing it several times to be certain. Then with your vinyl paint just use many very light coats. The vinyl paint is designed to bond/penetrate the top layer of the vinyl so if you put it on too thick it will just sit on top. I've done the gear selector on my auto which obviously is a high contact area and only needs touching up about every 18 months max.
As for the plastic parts again after giving a thorough clean with wax and grease remover use a good quality flexi-plastic primer. For smooth plastic surfaces such as the cluster surround you may want to give it a light sand with a finer grit sandpaper just to give it a little extra to bite into, but not the textured plastics like the stereo/aircon surround area as it may spoil the effect. As an extra if you are going to use a spray gun rather than cans you can get a flex agent to mix with the paint.
Good luck and just remember just take it slow and don't rush things.

I was contemplating the same for my ek but some ppl have said that after a while the paint may crack in some areas i.e where the sun hits it the most therefore making it look cheap. I'm sure if your car is kept in the shade/garage it should be ok but ye like tiksie said to try the DIY. i think it looks alot better but each to there own. Good luck and post pics up when your done :)
