I ordered an Apex'i WS2 universal muffler (60mm inlet) in July and it has been put on backorder ever since. Since theres still no ETA from Apex'i the seller suggested to just go with the 80mm turbo version since thats all they got left in stock. I just want to know would it make a difference if the inlet is 20mm larger? What are the pros and cons? Mine's a Prelude 89 Si 4WS model if you need a little more info.

Thanks

So its just the muffler itself?

Apart from the outlet maybe being large, the car may be slightly louder. Its not like a oem muffler compaired to a spoon n1 difference but there will be the slightest difference.

Nothing you should worry about tho. If you still like the look of the muffler and the outlet tip is still fine for you just get it.

I believe there's a Japanese version of the WS2 universal muffler
called the Apexi Hybrid Evolution. There's a place in Vermont
called access autoworks that sells them. It's pretty much the same
thing, it's also readily available in Victoria, so maybe it's something
you might wanna consider?
