i'm not using that design as such but have the magnaflow cannon style muffler on my ride. I got my exhaust from the cat back done about a month ago. Magnaflow has more of the deep sound as opposed to the tinny ones apexi and trust have. at first i wasnt too happy with the sound but that was due to the parts being brand new and clean. After a few week's the resin built up in side the piping and it sounded deeper. there's a couple of pics of the muffler on my ride in my thread to give u visual of what it might look like.

I used to have one on my ek hatch, an oval body design and it sounded great..not too soft not too loud, but I had to change it to a smaller muffler because it got in the way of my swaybar.

how loud would these go though?
you doing the complete exhaust system or just the muffler?
in comparison to a twinloop?
considered a twinloop simon?

yes, iv had an xforce twinloop on a 7th gen civic sedan before, compared to other aftermarket mufflers they are pretty quiet. the sound is sort of a deep groan at lower revs, in higher revs it gets more noticably louder..
im planning to get a twinloop some time in the future on my ek hatch.

magna flow muffler is loud. had it on my starlet. droning on highway.
twinloop is good. for s10 make sure you get teh revised edition else it's loud too haha. but xforce don't make s10 no more. not sure about s12

i would invest and get a 2.5inch piping all the way through then attach a Magnaflow muffler, sounds alright too, if you don't have this done, it will be less restrictive on the muffler, plus it will flow and sound better. i believe it's up to you...good luck man!
