Hi,

Does anybody know what size is the subwoofer on the parcel shelf on the new Honda Accord Euros?

Are they upgradable?

and what size are the front headlights? i.e H3, H5?
I just want to know this as I want to get some HIDS ... muahaha...

THanks in advance!

8" i think.no reason why you couldn't upgrade it to a brand name but IMO i don't think it'd be worth it.Headlights,don't know,i have CL9.

If you upgraded the sub with it still in the rear parcel shelf you'd get too much vibration.

I wouldn't bother keeping the sub in the parcel shelf if I were to change mine.
I have to find out the headlight sizes too. I want to put in silverstar +50's, like I had in my CL9. Either that or HID. I might pull them out tomorrow and see.

well found out today all speakers are definately manufacted by Alpine. Spoke to the dealership and they are 100% certain all 10 speakers are Alpine. Soo .. maybe I shouldn't upgrade.

I had tested the sound during a test drive, and i was impressed, considering my soon-to-be-replaced lancer has 2x 10inch subs. After being so used to bass, I was a bit unsure on whether stock subs were sufficient, but they are actually not all that bad!

Can't wait to get the car, so I can suss out more stuff ...

I actually thought it was a 10inch sub.. My VE SSV has 2 8 inch sub from factory and doesn't come close to the sound that the Euro has..

Here are a couple of pictures of the shelf, I took them while the tinter was doing the back window properly. (on a side note if a tint sop says they can't take the shelf out, it can be done with no problems)

if it IS a 10inch sub ... then it definitely packs a punch for a stock standard...

its not 10''. i would say prob 6 or 8 ''
i have a 10'' sitting at home and its no where near the same size

well its not going to be 6" because the normal speakers next to it are 6" and as you can see it is larger..

I have just compared an 8" to the one in the Honda by looking at them from the bottom for physical size and the Honda one is bigger..

sooo what are you going to replace them with?
I was considering taking the sub out of the parcel shelf and using a boxed sub, but you lose a fair bit of boot space, and getting the sparey out is a hassle when you need it...

im replacing them with mb quart reference splits at the front and discus rears.

im puttin a slimline rockford sub so i can put in on the side of the boot but still access the spare

are you just gonna put one sub or one on each side.
where can you get slimline boxes?

are you just gonna have your amp run ur subs .. or your speakers as well

Sorry for the late reply.:o.Cause i'm running everything off the factory HU i need a knob for fading the sub in and out.just a 10" Kenwood in an enclosure with Kenwood 2 channel bridged 120 RMS amp.enclosure is not ported so bass is nice and tight not droney.
