Hey guys, anyone tried this on their tegs? Good enough for the tracks, yet comfortable for everyday driving?

Skunk2 coilovers are NOT comfortable for street, they are VERY stiff. Maybe not bouncy but you'll need a spine made of steel to find them comfortable for street. Do a google of a couple of reviews etc. and you'll find all the info you're looking for.

'Coilovers' and 'budget' don't go hand in hand, Buddyclub N+ are very good coilovers but they're not exactly 'budget' (around $1500-2000 atm).

well he told me they rnt damper adjustable. they r comfortable to him, alot of difference in handling. he hasnt tracked them though yet, but from when i drove his car it seems like it would b good enuff for the occasional track use.

Skunk2 Pro-S is street/track design coilover, which ok to consider as "comfortable" to use for the street and not bad for the track. We had installed a lot of these into DC2 or even DC5, the feedback are "GOOD". And SKUNK2 do make 2 types of the coilovers for the DC2, either Pro-S or Pro-C. Pro-S is not the damping adjustable but the Pro-C is 12 levels damping adjustable. One thing unfortunately, the DC2R (US Spec) are using the same rear lower control arm as DC2 VTI-R (AUS Spec) rear lower control arm.
However, all the Aus Spec DC2R are still able to using the SKUNK2 Pro-C if change to the fork type rear lower control arm. From what we had done, if it is standard VTI-R rear lower control arm, then the customer need the spacer in btw of fork and coilover but will spot on with SKUNK2 Billet Rear lower control Arm.
Again, the feedback from our customers with SKUNK2 Pro-C either for Street or Track, one word to say all "AWESOME"!!

It seems that most ppl base their opinion on what they consider stiff. I think with most coilovers, as they are designed with motorsport in mind they are never going to be comfy. Most of us are rockin street reg cars and i cant only speak for Brisbane roads, but they are ****ed! (plug: please increase state and federal funding and fill in those pot holes) Of course they are not going to be comfy if there a big F off hole in the middle of the road. But what can you do...?
I have rocked D2's in my previous Dc2 and they were a good coilover. I had JIC's in my S13 and they were stiff and the handling was unreal! But isn't that why you purchase a adjustable coilover setup in the first place? I reckon these Skunk2's are unreal value for money for an adjustable coilover that has the history behind it...i would rather spend 1200 on a set of these than similarly prices coilovers that i know nothing about.
Just my 2 cents

I have a set if Skunk2 pro-c in my civic. As someone above has mentioned coilovers weren't designed to be comfortable, if you want comfort stick with stock suspension.
In saying that I drive my car everyday and have done a 800km trip with them, I dont think they're overly stiff. Your passengers may think otherwise though....
One tip, buy them from the US. There are some good sellers on ebay and you can get a set of pro-c from the US for the same price as you can get pro-s in Australia
edit: this post is from 2008, not sure why its been bumped....
