Hi All,

I have been scratching around inside the interior and I was wondering if the 2006 and up Euro's came with a 12 volt power socket in the centre console armrest. There appears to be a square piece of plastic in the bottom of the centre console armrest, perfect for a 12 volt power socket, however there is not one in mine.

Are they available in any Accord Euro's?

OK, so must be 2006 and above.
Any chance of getting a quick picture of what it looks like, I assume just a flap that says 12v and a socket?!

I wonder if this could be retrofitted into a 2005 Accord Euro Luxury.
Might have too source the socket and loom from Honda Parts.

Thanks for the quick response.

I have an 05 Lux too and while this might not be exactly what you're looking at doing, I added an extra 12v socket in my car for my GPS. Difference is I installed mine under the middle dash console cubby, drilled a hole in the cubby and ran the GPS charger cable through the hole and plugged straight into the socket. Doing so served my purpose of ensuring my GPS is not visible to anyone outside because of cables and suction cups etc.

The 12v socket cost me $2.50 and the only other material involved was a bit of cable and some solder. Obviously you could mount the socket anywhere you choose. Good luck :)

you could probably buy a 06 spare 12v outlet from honda service/parts and install it to your car. Should not be a too difficult job.

The price the dealer charges is probably the same as 20 pieces of 12v outlet if you bought it elsewhere. :p

Took apart the centre console this evening looking for ways to put the 12 volt socket in. Looks like there is not much room under the centre armrest for the 12 volt socket, as the hand brake cables run directly under the spot for the 12 volt socket. Might look at putting one in where the cubby hole is, inside the bin, hidden away. :)
