Hey guys i'm think about upgrading my brake but i'm not sure what brakes would be suitable to upgrade too as i have a b18c in a ej8 but worried about not stopping in time. Any suggestions what kind of brake i should upgrade too..?
i don't want to spend too much either on it....?
cheers

Hey,

The short answer is Integra Tyre R (dc2r) brakes.

hey mate,

your ej8 has rear drum brakes yes?

well you should be getting some rear disk brakes, brake booster and master cylinder from an em1/ek4. also the handbrake cable from an em1 to fit the coupe.

also look into some slotted rotors and some aftermarket racing pads for the front and that should do.

hope this helps ya mate.

you can either do a dc2r 5 lug that comes with better brakes or just get the brakes from an ek4/em1 thats it

Give braided lines a go - if you're still not happy, go for rear disc brake setup on anything that'll fit - measure up

yeah, I'm pretty sure the fronts are the same. just do the rear brake conversion. front and rear slotted rotors and some aftermarket pads.

maybe a grand all up? a little bit more, give or take.

i have an ej8 too , was thinking of changing my rear breaks from the integra, its kinda pricey due to the abs system. best bet to get all the arms as they bolt on. i was quoted i think 900 for all the parts from an integra would be cheaper if i didnt have abs. but worth checking i could be wrong on it. call hondbits
