Hey guys!

Nice forum you got here. Just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out. I live in Perth and will be getting my bike license soon and therefore need a first bike. I'm not what you would call "loaded" though so for my first bike I'm thinkin of gettin a bike thats been in a crash and doing it all up in the "streetfighter" style. Obviously not one thats been in a serious crash, just need the engine to be running and wheels to be straight.

So does anyone know where I can find the bike I'm after? Needs to be 250cc, repairable damage, look good as a "streetfighter" and under about $3000. Also, the best place to get all the parts in perth.

Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Kris.

no worries. and trust me three grand is enough lol.

buy a 600. it will still be in your budget if rom auction lol.
250cc so booring after first month.

if you can find suzuki gsxr 600 its good. we found a 2007 ( newish shape) model that was okai condition for exactyl 3 grand. like only cosmetic damage

Hahaha I thought so..

I'm not a real bug guy so I think I'll start with a 250. I really like the '08 250r ninja. Wouldn't do that up in a street fighter style though, it's too sexy the way it is.

cbr250rr could work though....

dont bother buy 08 model 250cc, you will get over it quicker than a vtec d series

Dad wont let me get a bigger bike for my first one:thumbdwn:. He has ridden bikes all his life and somehow keeps telling me that if i get a bike I become a "temporary australian"....

Anyway, what are the cheapest/easiest bikes to get parts for? Since I'm gonna be gettin a smashed one I betta make sure the parts are easily attainable without murdering my bank account:p

See the thing is, I wanna be unique aswell... I guess having cheap, easily attainable parts and being unique really don't work well together though do they hahaha.. I hate that.

hi, i just got my L's two days ago im also interested in the same thing you are. buying a cheap bike to repair myself and learn off that. my budget is similar to yours and i've also been recommended that the CBR's area good bike to start off with but get boring so most people recommend going straight to the 600, but im a small guy dont know if i can handle it so im gna take it easy. would u guys know anyone selling cheap cbr250rr in melb?

stock cbr looks so gay if you have the wrong colour. so yer tyga 250 looks good but cost heaps, you can buy bikes from a shop and they hae the kits already fitted,
