View Full Version : Legal solution to new front brake line mounts/bracket?
Like a lot of other people, my front brake lines arent properly bolted to my dampers. I just have them zip tied at the moment. (this is because the suspension setup i use now doesnt have the OEM brake line bracket)
Now i remember seeing that people make up solutions. Such as some kind of clamp with some provisions for the lines to bolt to. (i think people said they buy such setups from repco etc).
So yeah, anyone have pics/info of their setups?

Buy a brand of braided line with stock mounting brackets? Kingmotorsports have a set for USD$99.
If you have even one bracket on the line you could drill it out to the size of the shock fork bolt and mount it there.

another idea is to salvage the stock brake line mounts off standard shocks.
They WILL come off with a big hammer/mallet and a punch or a socket piece. They should fit most coilovers.

Just make up a small piece of flat metal, with 2 holes. 1 hole bolts in with the same bolt on your bottom fork (that attaches to the bottom of your strut) the other holes is attached to your brake line.

i made a little bracket to hold the brake line out of a 60c piece of metal from bunnings and a bit of heatshrink

as far as i know, ek brake lines are different to eg/ek
ek's have only one brake line holder which is usually attached near the knuckle and not the shock
