i was looking for the same last night.

i did an online quote with justcars which didnt provide me with a figure and they said they'll send me an email, which they did quoting 1.5k comp.

But im not sure if thats correct (seems abit low?). Cause when i was filling it out, the civic type R wasnt on the car list, so i just wrote it in for the description part and also when adding my email for them to send to me, i also noted that i couldnt select civic type r (ep3r) cause it wasnt on the list.

In the end, they quoted me 1.5k....(23/m/parked inner-west area, 0 history for everything and me being youngest driver on full lic.)

$1.5k sounds about right. I got mine with Justcars at just under $1.3k. I'm in inner west Sydney as well but over 30.

1400 is wat I'm paying with just cars, over 25 an no offences.

I've heard some serious horror stories bout just cars thou, with them not wanting to pay for even obvious claims. I know there all like that but just heard their worse again. Anyone made a claim with them? How'd it go?

Thinking about switching to shannons, similar price just no max ncb protection =( they do still insure ur car if it gets pranged on a race track thou lols

what's ncb protection?

I got quoted JUST CAR $2,5000 comprehensive.

19/m/parked inner west area/1 speeding offence.

I'm gonna get q quote from shannons. Do they also do unlimited mods?

ncb - no claim bonus protection

shannons are generally reluctant to insure under 25 drivers no matter what driving history or sports car. they will either give you a ridiculous quote amount or online will keep giving you errors.

apprarently a friend of mine insured his r33 gtr with shannons, because he was registered as a 'car enthusuiast' (i.e. cams licence, members of forums etc etc) he got insurance for $1900)

anyway i asked him for papers or something - he always dodges the question rofl

what difference does it make if he is registered as a 'car enthusiast' ?

shannons have this thing where they insure car enthusiasts and passionate owners of their car.. generally speaking as a car enthusiast they drive less (because they want to preserve their pride & joy), therefore they have less chance of being in an accident, hence shannon can offer them a more competitive price.

the difference reallly comes down to the cost of your premium

I have my EP3R insured with Justcars and its $1308 p/a for full comp. I'm 20, and yes, the policy is under my name. The only catch is...my excess is $3600.

Just got my EP3 covered with shannons, was gonna go with just car or HBF but shannons looked like best out of all.
full cover for 12 months $976 with mods included (agreed value $28000) plus I can add any other mod I do, eg suspension ect, things that make me choose them over other two is in case of accident I get to pick my own repair shop, I'm covered when I do AHG driver training days and once I get cams licence I get more discount and some other benefits (apperantly in near future they'll organise track days or something so you get disscount and so on)
I live in Perth and I'm 27

Also first they said $1150 but than I told them HBF gave me quote for $980 (which they did i didn't lie) so guy told me to wait a bit, came back with $976, so yeah try to get better deal if you call them.
