6000k would be ideal...

8000k is bordering on near purple and imo is too bright for the street - come night time and add a bit of rain, you wont be able to see shit.

8000k Looks good, but the visibility is a tad worse than 6000k, if you want good visibility get 4300k....

I have 8000k parked next to my friends car with 6000k, the colour difference is very obvious, but 6000k provided a more "yellow" colour on the road.. soo in the rain i guess its better.

oh sweet as man thanks for the pic that shows the difference of them all greatly appreciated so i guess im after 6000k then so 8000k is the one where they just blind you with the bluish white light?

The colour doesnt blind you...
Even though the temp is higher on the bulbs it doesnt make them brighter it actually makes them weaker...
Its the beam pattern which blinds you...Cars not made for HIDS shoot out light every where and blind people...Some cars are better then others so yeh doesnt really make a difference wether you go 6000 or 8000k

Just an FYI... the higher the number the LESS bright the light is. Ie: 6000K is brighter than 8000K. 8000K is brighter than 10,000K... and so on.
People aren't flashing you because your 8000K lights are too bright... they are most likely flashing you because you do not have your HID's in a projector headlamp and the light is blinding them as it is not at all focused properly, and they are probably a hell annoying colour.

If people flash you... this is not cool. You are not awesome, because people flash you. If chicks flash you their ****, it means you have awesome negative camber and that is all.
