Just a tip Beeza, there are offset versions of these available from Ingalls & SPC (maybe) which allow increased camber.

Just thought you might be interested.

Nick.

Thanks Nick!

Interesting....

I haven't got my coilovers in yet.I was wanting to put it all in at the same time but I guess I wont know if I need these until it's all in???

You'll pick up a degree of camber just by lowering.

These are adjustable.
0 to 1.5 or 1.5 to 3 degrees.

Total is about 1 to 2.5 degrees which is perfect.

Quality seems OK.

IMHO a bit of camber on the front is a good thing.
No point going OEM here.

You want -1 to -2.5. Not positive.

I'm really not sure Aaron....

Mike (Zdster) sent me an email a while back and that's all I have atm to go off.

This is the next thing I need to learn.

Brett,

My suggestion is to put the coilovers in and the new wheels on and then get a wheel alignment. Odds are, you probably wont even need a camber kit - as long as you get your toe as close to zero as possible.

If you can get your toe to zero and your camber is roughly even on both sides, then all you need to do is rotate your tyres every 5/10,000km and you should be fine.

My car is lowered at the moment (on pretty hard coilovers) and runs 15's (an ek hatch), my toe is zero and have about -2degrees of camber with no camber kit and is perfect.

Mike

personally i'm running -2deg on the front and -1deg on the rear, 1mm total toe out at the front and 2mm total toe in on the rear with the whole car dropped at about 2"

haven't noticed any abnormal wear yet in the last 3000k's but only time will tell

i would be looking into getting more castor angle not camber up front. more castor will give you more dynamic camber, also more a better contact patch is on the ground for hard braking and acceleration. i would be more inclined to run 0 toe front and rear. toe is what wears tyres. for a more agile front or rear more toe out can be used respectively for a more stable ride toe in. ideally i would go 1 degree camber front 1.5 degrees rear zero toe front (or 1mm out slightlymore agile front) and rear (or 1mm out for slightly more lively rear). as for castor as much as practical so say ~4% in a civic.

Ah great,those figures sound good.

Zero toe seams to be the key.

Thank U.

Not so easy on an EK.

two bushes to help with more castor from white line.
KCA366 replaces lower control arm rear mount KCA371 replaces upper control arm inner bushes with eccentric poly bushed adjusters. Use both kits for max performance and race use. both add only .66 degrees of castor :(

my eg i have swapped my front upper control arms over and the whiteline kit and the difference from more castor was phenomenal!

a kit like on this DIY would be good. don't know where that can be sourced from tho.eg-ek-dc camber and castor (http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/view_egekdccamber.html)

Thanks mate.So the new front upper control arms are whiteline ones?

dc's and eg's can swap their upper control arms left to right and it'll give them some castor
unfortunately our ek's are symmetrical so it's no good for us

Ah,true true.

What do U think of the bushes that Nick is talking about Vinny?
