EG startup problems

heya yesterday started my eg it was fine went to the servo to buy something got back in teh car n started it it turned over and then shut off straight away almost like it was running on empty (although it was full) could this be the fuel pump car was just serviced day before that so i checked other possibilites making sure everything is connected n so forth i waited for 1-2 mins and it started fine taking it to mechanic tomorro jsut wantd everyones thoughts and wondering if its happened to anyone else?

Have similar issues. It only happens when you take a short trip and sometimes on hot days. I think the general consensus is its a Main Relay issue.

It's a relatively easy fix if you're DIY minded and have a soldering iron.

careful when trying to DIY fix it...make sure you have the right model main relay wiring diagram as there are dif models...

btw if your car is a carby....i think that may be a common problem...but if its a carby...the relay wont be the same...
