My car has just hit the terrible 198xxx mark so i think its time for the major service (Integra GSI 1994). Ive got the:
OEM timing belt
OEM cam and crank seal
OEM water pump
OEM tensioner
alternator belt
aircon belt
power steering belt
fuel filter (OEM or something else suggestions??)
Is there anything else i should do whilst ive got the car in this vulnerable position. Ps.. mechanic is doing all the work, not dumb enough to try the timing myself.

care to explain WHY you would do that?
considering it's not part of a major service.
and requires ALOT more work than required.
if there is nothing wrong with the headgasket/head LEAVE it.
no need to change engine mounts unless they're ****ed.
no need to change clutch and flywheel unless they're ****ed.
and synchros?
care to explain again why would you do synchro's on a major service?
for me a personal experience change this unless haven't changed lately
oil
oil filter oem
air filter
transmission fluid oem
brake fluid
coolant oem
fuel filter oem
spark plugs
water pump oem
timing belt oem
thermostat oem
a/c, power steering, alternator belts
cam seals oem
crank seals oem
rocker cover gasket oem
and adjust tappets
my personal opinion you shoudln't have to change the tensioner, but you can if you really wanted too, or just to be on the safe side.

yeah i thought that the tensioner would come with the timing belt like it had in other packs i had bought. However Honda sell it as a separate part. ah well it much safer this way, does anyone know if its worth getting an OEM fuel filter for about 60 bucks or getting an after market one?

just get an aftermarket fuel filter... no point spending big bucks for something thats overpriced.
just change whats on your list, if it aint broke then dont fix it.
i would just do all the fluids aswell, but its not the end of the world if you dont.

Just read the manual, replace everything with Genuine Honda OEM parts, and then if you find anything else replace that also.

Finally got my car back on the road....
Told labor cost was $340 bucks.....
included, timing belt, cam seal, crank seal, water pump, alternator belt, air con belt, power steering belt, change of oil and coolant and filter.
All in all the car is working great and dont think it was that expensive..
Although OEM parts were expensive worth the money
