guys can you help me out..my car over heat sumtimes and it always go up and down...i just put new radiator and i don't know whats going on??

i was thinking its the thermostat..bcoz it ws working fine when i gt my new radiator after a week its like dat again..if i blow the head gasket hw much will cost me to fix it?

wow you picked the most expensive + most complicated, first lesson is to start small and easy, eliminate possibilities before jumping to the worst case scenario.

If you can't do this yourself,
Pay a licenced mechanic who can.
Test coolant system for combustions gasses.*
Pressure test cooling system.**

* If present you have a head gasket sealing problem.
This can be up to & including warped & cracked head & block + blown gasket.
** If cooling system won't hold pressure, find the leak.
Likey sources are old cracked hoses, water pump housing, heater core, o-rings on transfer pipe @ rear of engine etc.

If it passes both tests, bleed the cooling system & replace the thermostat.
Test fan themo switch & replace as required also.

hii guys thanks for all the advice, i hv fix the problem..it was just my thermostat, i hv 2changed wit the new one..thanks for all your help ppl i really appreciated
