View Full Version : Disconnecting solenoid

Hey guys I am just trying to clean up engine bay a bit and was wondering if anything dangerous bout disconnecting the little (i think it called a solenoid) near the spark plug wires =o

I just need to disconnect to rerun the accelerator wire so it isnt in the way =)

its fine to disconnect it. just plug it back in when you go derrivvviingggg

Yup, I've taken it off and even soldered the wires while it was still on the car, with the engine off of course!

thx guys ^.^ haha turns out i gotta get shorter cable -_- the one i got atm is long and wraps around the front of the engine but i want it outta the way and not seen along with everything else haha i will post a pic of my engine bay tomorrow day and show people wat i mean wen i say there alot of wires and such haha XD I just want to clean it up and hide wires and cords and paint stuff and get stuff different colours haha =P
